There will be a $10 off $50 coupon in the main part of the Bend Bulletin on Tuesday 5/4. It’s usually for Safeway and your total has to be $50 after all coupons are deducted.

Food 4 Less – no internet printable coupons

Food 4 Less will take regular coupons from inserts, etc., but will not take printed coupons. I spoke to a cashier about this policy. Seems silly to me, since you can print coupons directly from the Food 4 Less website. Apparently the Bend store is independently owned and has experienced too much fraud to continue taking printable coupons.

I usually just buy produce and meat there anyway, but I thought I’d let you know before you head over there with a handful of coupons. (Thanks for the info, Megan.)

Soooo… back-to-back trips are over, houseguests are gone, and family is back to full health. The house is still a disaster and I am totally unorganized and sleep deprived, but I have not forgotten you, little Coupon Blog. I will post tomorrow when the grocery flyers come out.

In an effort to keep you all in the loop and keep from spending 8 hours a day blogging, I’m going to suggest that you subscribe to The Krazy Coupon Lady’s blog, if you haven’t already. She covers Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, Target and Albertsons deals, among others. Most of my deal posts for these stores are just links to her blog anyway. I’ll post deals that look particularly interesting to me and I’ll try and keep up with the stuff she doesn’t cover. And once I get it together a bit more (yeah, like that will ever happen), I’ll get my little coupon database updated and posted so you can match the coupons we actually get in the Bend Bulletin with the deals you see in the blogosphere.

Back from vacation

We’re back from a lovely vacation in San Diego. For the first time in a long time, we acually paid cash (thank you Dave Ramsey). Anyway, I’m trying to be thankful for the time we had instead of overwhelmed at the post-vacation aftermath.

I have quite a stockpile built up from the last few months so I’ve got a few non-couponing goals for April:
- organize the stockpile!
- spring cleaning
- eat from the pantry

I still need to write up the “Putting it all together at Rite Aid” post.

I’m also going to focus my posts more on meat and produce deals this month and going forward. My husband basically only eats fruit, veggies, and protein. No rice, pasta, potatoes, dairy, bread, etc. We’re kind of like Jack Sprat and his wife. So he’s not really all that impressed with the 47 boxes of cereal and wheat thins that I got for free (or almost free) in the garage.

So that’s the plan. I’ll get on it right after I unpack, shop for Easter dinner, pay bills, and do the taxes!

$10 off coupon in Tuesday’s Bend Bulletin

There will be a $10 off coupon in the Tuesday (3/30) Bend Bulletin. It’s usually a $10 off when you spend $50 at Safeway, but I’m not sure. If so, you will have to spend $50 AFTER coupons. The coupon is usually on the back of one of the main sections.
